ESPEC leases new Detroit office
As reported in the Oakland Business Review, ESPEC North America is leasing a new office in Novi, Michigan, near Detroit. The site will open April 2008 as a regional service and sales office, plus training center.

The training center will serve customers from the Detroit area and around the country.
“We’re based in Grand Rapids and it’s just a little easier for people to come in out of Detroit as opposed to from the Grand Rapids area,” Walter said.
The move also gives the company a presence it needs for its growing customer base and to better coordinate local sales staff, said Walter, who added that the company expects to hire for the new office during the next year.
“From a service perspective, we need to make sure we keep parts in that area so we’re not shipping parts from Grand Rapids,” he said.
